Laundering

When necessary, your vest can be handwashed in cold water using gentle detergent. Do not use fabric softener when washing your vest.

DO NOT put your vest in the dryer, wring it dry, or rub it when wet as this can damage the fabric.

Your vest should always be dried flat.

If it simply needs a bit of freshening up, I recommend giving it a pass with the steamer and allowing it to hang in fresh air.

Storage

Knitted and crocheted clothing should always be folded and stored flat. Do not hang your knitted garment for an extended period of time as this will result in loss of shape.

Pilling (also known as bobbling)

'Pilling' refers to the buildups of fibres on the surface of a fabric. Pilling is normal for all items made of natural fibres, and is not a sign of poor quality or craftsmanship. It is caused by abrasion between the fibres in the yarns and other surfaces (jackets, furniture, purses, etc.).

Electric 'de-pillers' or 'fabric shavers' are inexpensive and available online and from electronics stores. They are easy to use and will give your clothing a like-new appearance. Alternativley, pills can easily be removed carefully by hand.

The Daisy vest has been designed as follows:

Size 1 is recommended for FR 34 - 38 if you are under 1m65 / 5'5" (bust sizes 85-96cm)

Size 2 is recommended for FR 38 - 42 (bust sizes 96-105cm) OR size 36-40 if you are over 1m65 / 5'5"

If your bust is not the fullest part of your upper body, please substitute the measurement of the fullest part for the bust measurement listed above when determining your size.

I measure 1m59 (5'2") tall and normally wear a size S or 36 FR. I am wearing Size 1 in colour "soleil"

Laura measures 1m64 (5'5") and normally wears a size M or 38 FR, or an L (40 FR) when she prefers an oversize fit. Here, for a casual look, she wears a Size 2 in colour "pistache"

If unsure of which size to choose, you can compare the flat size of the garment to one that you own already. The flat measurements are as follows:

Size 1

Bust (armpit to armpit): 46cm

Front length (middle front neck to hem): 34cm

Back length (middle back neck to hem): 45cm

Size 2

Bust (armpit to armpit): 52cm

Front length (middle front neck to hem): 38cm

Back length (middle back neck to hem): 49cm

This vest is quite cropped - it is suggested to measure the front length to ensure that you choose the right size. Measure from your collarbone to your desired end lenth (I recommend just below the bellybutton), over a t-shirt to account for your bust, and compare to the measurements listed above.
